Introducing Abbots Ripton Village and Village Hall

Abbots Ripton situated between Huntingdon and Peterborough,  is a delightful village dating back to the Doomsday book where it is recorded as Riptone. Abbots Ripton is a very picturesque village and comprises a number thatched houses dating back to the 15th century and the church of St Andrews which dates back to the 13th Century. Abbots Ripton Village is also lucky to have a Village Pub, Shop, Post Office and Primary School, all of which have had links with and supported the Village Hall in the past.

Abbots Ripton Village Hall itself was built in 1988 and opened by John Major MP.

Abbots Ripton Village Hall has become a central hub for the village and the surrounding communities but is also available for those from outside the Parish especially for weddings, parties, balls and corporate events.

Set in large, tree surrounded, grounds, Abbots Ripton Village Hall, with the large double doors open in the summer this already spacious venue becomes one with the outdoors and with the addition of a marquee, the capacity is increased even further. The ample, on-site, gravelled car park can easily accommodate most functions, negating the need for road-side parking and allowing easy access to the Village Hall. The entrance area leads through double doors to the main Hall, so allowing the elements to stay outside, away from the heated interior. The bar area backs conveniently onto the fully fitted kitchen. There is also a handy side door leading from the bar/kitchen area for loading and easy clearing.

Many clubs, groups and societies enjoy the beautiful setting and plentiful facilities of Abbots Ripton Village Hall including Abbots Ripton Cricket Club (much to the envy of visiting teams),  with it being booked much of the week and most weekends during the year, that said there are still slots available if other organisations or individuals are interested.
